Recycling

The City of West Fargo has contracted Waste Management, Inc. to provide single-stream recycling (SSR) for West Fargo residents. SSR simplifies the process of collecting and sorting recyclable materials, increasing participation rates by up to 50 percent. In a single-stream recycling system, residents place all recyclables in a recycling cart for pickup, and no longer need to separate these materials.

Waste Management, Inc. will supply and maintain one 96-gallon recycling container for each residential customer. These containers should only be used for recycling materials and not extra garbage. Extra recycling containers are available upon request for a one-time fee of $60 and an additional monthly fee of $3.15, which will be charged to the customer’s utility bill.
